What Is SmsNova?

SmsNova is an SMS gateway service built and operated by Ullass. It provides businesses and developers with a simple REST API to send SMS messages — transactional notifications, OTP codes, bulk marketing campaigns, and automated alerts.

SmsNova is used by PosNova and other Ullass products to deliver real-time SMS notifications. It is available to external developers and businesses as a standalone service.

• Send OTP codes — one-time passwords for authentication and verification

API Overview

SmsNova provides a simple REST API. Sending an SMS requires a POST request:

The API returns a response with the message ID and delivery status. Webhooks are available for delivery receipt callbacks.

API Key Format

SmsNova API keys follow the format sn_live_... for production and sn_test_... for sandbox testing. API keys are available from the SmsNova dashboard after creating an account.

Integration with PosNova

SmsNova is the native SMS provider for PosNova. PosNova users can connect SmsNova in Settings → Messaging Providers by entering their SmsNova API key and sender ID. Once connected, PosNova automatically sends:

• Order status notifications to customers
• Low-stock alerts to managers
• Staff assignment notifications
